China to produce 3rd lunar probe in 2013

China will launch its third lunar probe, Chang’e-3, within the other half of 2013, based on the Condition Administration of Science, Technology and Niche for National Defence.

The launch from the Chang’e-3, named following the Chinese goddess from the moon, belongs to the 2nd step of China’s three-phrase lunar probe project of revolving about, landing and coming back.

China released the Chang’e-one in 2007 and also the Chang’e-2 this year. The very first probe retrieved a lot of scientific data along with a complete map from the moon as the second one produced a complete greater-resolution map from the moon along with a high-definition image of Sinus Iridium.
