Condition Council names Paul Chan as Secretary for Growth and development of HK SAR

China’s Condition Council, or Cabinet, on Monday hired Paul Chan Mo-po as Secretary for Growth and development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government.

Paul Chan changed Mak Chai-kwong, who resigned on This summer 12 to be suspected of mistreating a civil service rent-compensation system.

The appointment is made upon nomination and recommendation through the SAR’s Leader Leung Chun-ying and using the Fundamental Law from the HKSAR.
